sc.jpgI’ve found a great site, Science with me, through a comment on one of my posts. You know well that my aim is to make medicine, genetics more readable even for those who are not interested in these fields. Elva O’Sullivan is a mum and a scientist. She decided to create and maintain this site for kids to teach them science in a funny way. In her blog, she writes:

My aim is to make science more readable, enjoyable, and accessible to even those who are not interested in science, and bring a smile to their face in doing so. That’s why I spend:

most of my time

thinking in rhyme

and wrting poems and stories to capture the scientific imagination of young children and their parents and teachers.

What can you find there? Animations, funny games, worksheets like The Human Body, E-coloring book and many more. Subscribe to Science with me for free, because members can download all of what Science with me has to offer.

Keep up this great work Elva!

Yes, science is fun! After all it is what makes up every aspect of our lives. At Super Science Fair Projects.com we want science fairs to be for everyone, not just the brillant and talented.

So I invented Dectective ThinkMore who walks kids through all the aspects of a science fair project. He encourages them to choose a project that will peak their interest, jokes with them while prodding them to take another step, , and tells them how great they are.

The purpose of the whole site is to tap into each child’s greatness.

I have also created an international virtual free science fair contest where each participant receives an award certificate for participation. Prizes are given to not the most brillant projects, but to those that complete the steps required for their grade level and illustrate curiosity and imagination.

It is a great idea and I think I should write about it. Maybe next week, it’s so interesting. :)
