After taking a short break (hosting Grand rounds killed my energy), now I’ve found some useful and really web 2.0 based sites and communities that I’d like to share with you.
You can rate doctors, hospitals; learn about symptoms, treatments and conditions. It really can be your health homepage.
Digg-like site fo medicine and health related articles (mainly not from the hardcore science topics).
Community support for your health challenges. Share your medical stories, experiences; meet people with the same problem.
Built by diabetics for diabetics. With SugarStats you will be able to:
- Track blood sugar glucose levels
- Track medication intake (Injectioons, Oral, Inhalers)
- Track food intake
- Track physical activity
- Share your statistics with your family, friends or health care professional
- Access your info from any modern web browsers
- Have a clear and simple interface to view your statistics
- View important graphs and trends created from these statistics
The best weight loss site. You can track your exercises, your diet, your weight changes. You can get your own motivators, or you can even become one. The software is easy to use and well-illustrated (see the image below).
I hope you find some of them useful and valuable. If you have a suggestion, an experience with a new medical site, share it with us.

Wow! Great list. I’ve forwarded your post to a medical representative friend. I’m sure by now he has already spread the news to his friends and to the doctors whom he is servicing.
Thank you, it would be great!
I would like to know your opinion about http://health2.info

Thank you, Miguel! I should dedicate a whole post to your site.
