As according to bio-itworld.com, scientists and physicians need to mash it up, I try to show you brand new services and sites of the world of medicine 2.0. Some of them have been running for only a few weeks, some of them are just a few days old. Have a good journey in the near future of medicine!

It’s a Digg-like site about medicine, but with an essential difference: when a user submits a news article it will be placed in the “unpublished” area until it gains sufficient votes to be promoted to the main page.

MEDgle is an online information and educational service. With the thousands of articles and sites available, finding relavent medical information is difficult. MEDgle’s goal is to make medical information easily and intuitively accessible for the benefit and betterment of everybody. Simply: search, learn, and thrive.

Freebase.com is home to a global knowledge base: a structured, searchable, writeable and editable database built by a community of contributors, and open to everyone. It could be described as a data commons. It’s also going to be used on the field of science and medicine.

A user powered health community that writes about health issues important to them and contributes to this growing health encyclopedia. An aggregator for medical news, articles, terms and personal stories.

Open Medicine is a peer-reviewed, independent, open-access general medical journal. The mission of Open Medicine is to facilitate the equitable global dissemination of high-quality health research; to promote international dialogue and collaboration on health issues; to improve clinical practice; and to expand and deepen the understanding of health and health care. The Journal will examine issues relevant to health and clinical medicine both in Canada and internationally.
