cubes.jpgI’ve been tagged by Rick at My Biotech Life. I’m going to be honest: I love these memes. I know they have nothing to do with personalized genetics, medicine or web 2.0, but these memes always help the readers to know more about the bloggers. I hope the more you understand me after these, the more you’ll enjoy my writings. So here are 8 random facts about me:

  1. I love playing poker, squash and football. I’ve always been a great Barcelona fan.
  2. I’m amazed by the works of Stanislaw Lem. Solaris is the most important book in my life.
  3. While working on Scienceroll, I also maintain a Hungarian medical blog (MedIQ) and a Hungarian snooker blog (A foul and a miss).
  4. I’m working hard to become a speaker just like Al Gore (An Inconvenient Truth). I’ve already presented my slideshow about web 2.0 and medicine at several clinics and departments here, in Debrecen. I plan to do the same abroad as well.
  5. I’ve always wanted to become an astronomer and to travel to space.
  6. I hate sleeping. I need about 6 hours a day to have a rest. If it’d my choice, I’d never sleep. It takes time from working.
  7. I’m a film-maniac: Solaris, Matrix, The last Samurai, Lady in the Water, Gangs of New York… I always listen to music (mostly original soundtracks) while learning.
  8. Monty Python, Monty Python, Monty Python: My brain hurts…

That’s all folks! I’m not going to tag anybody. If you’re interested, then continue the meme and write 8 random facts about yourself.
