Kidney Stones and Photography? September 5, 2007

One of my favourite sites is Crooked Brains where I found these fantastic images yesterday. They write:
It’s a wonder to know such a beauty in the stone can be a problem in a kidney.
Anyway, personally I find it hard to remember all the types of kidney stones. But with these photos, it should be an easier task:

Calcium Oxalate Monohydrate with superficial Dihydrate.

eter Baulman (Australia) had a kidney stone removed from his right kidney weighing 356 g and measuring 11.86 cm.





















These pictures make my kidneys hurt just looking at them. Ouch.

I just passed one, and looking at these makes the pain come back
my husband in the process of trying to pass one he is in alot of pain I wish i could take the pain away from him.
my ct came back to reveal that i have a 12mm stone not looking forward to that. I am having the ultrasonic op done and i hope that it breaks it up in to small ones … real small
