Gene Genie #17 at The Gene Sherpa
Our favourite genetic blog carnival, Gene Genie is up at The Gene Sherpa. What is Gene Genie?
It’s the blog carnival of genes and gene-related diseases. Our plan is to cover the whole genome before 2082 (it means 14-15 genes every two weeks). But we also accept articles on the news of genomics and clinical genetics. Many thanks to Steve Murphy (at Helix Health) for hosting this edition! And for the second time, news/articles of personalized medicine were included. Check out Gene Genie for more about this unique field of medicine.

Many thanks to Ricardo Vidal for the logo!
The 18th issue of Gene Genie will be hosted by Eye on DNA on October 21th. Don’t forget to submit your articles via the official page.

Changing genes can have bad effect in the future. If you change genes to someone it is not sure what deffects will appear after 100-200years.
Genes are coded and information is compressed some way.
We don’t plan to change anyone’s genes. Personalized genetics has nothing to do with this plan neither. This new field of medicine wants to read more efficiently what is coded in your genome and give you a therapy based on that…
