Web 2.0 Style: Funny Logos October 30, 2007

Nicora.net has a unique collection of mind-blowing (that’s the right expression) logos in web 2.0 style. As the number of  web 2.0 based medical sites is exponentially growing, those companies should focus on these issues:

Characteristics often present in Web2.0 applications include:

  • A large Trebuchet typeface coated in pastel gradients and draped in a liquid coat.
  • Clear declaration of current development status (typically denoted as “BETA”).
  • Following the above trends, normally these designs are placed on a large reflective (or shiny) table, for a true 2.0 effect.
  • Often logo marks are placed at an extreme corner and utilize negative white space.
  • Another common trend is to manipulate domain names, like del.icio.us or script.aculo.us.
