As I’ve already told you, I’ll attend the 16th Annual Medicine Meets Virtual Reality Conference taking place in Long Beach, California from Monday to Friday (28, January - 1, February) following the invitation and endless help of Kathie Rose, Greg Mogel, M.D. and James D. Westwood.
On Wednesday, in the so-called Salon, I’ll present a slideshow (Web 2.0 and Medicine) in which I’ll talk about the differencies between web and web 2.0; the medical blogosphere; medical education in Second Life, medical searches and many more. I’ll also demonstrate what it is like to blog live about an event and we plan to do a real time medical simulation in Second Life as well. I hope the participants will find these useful. Of course, I’ll make my slideshow public after the conference.

On Saturday (2, February), I’ll fly to New York, then will travel to New Haven for the warm invitation of Steve Murphy, the gene sherpa. On the 4th of February, it seems I’ll have an other presentation at the University of Yale and one at the hospital of Greenwich.
I’m so excited to meet these great people and to make new friends. I’m interested in how US medical students use these web tools, services and sites.
I’ll try to blog live about the whole trip, but after coming back (7, February), be prepared for long summaries with plenty of images.

wow, that’s a lot of traveling. look forward to reading about the experiences.
Good for you. Keep us posted.
