TIME magazine published the Top 10 Medical Breakthroughs in 2008 list. Here are the biggest discoveries and news in medicine this year:

- Genomes for the Masses (only 4th place??)
- New Genes for Alzheimer’s
- A Five-in-One Vaccine
- Gene Screens for Breast Cancer

After reading Time’s list of “the 20 worst cars of all time” (or something of that sort) and seeing how biased and subjective they are I lost interest in their lists.

Time’s top 10 list of 2008 medical breakthroughs looks very immature for people who are seriously involved with medicine. They look more like journalists ‘compulsive’ perceptions.
