Medical Education in Second Life: Presenters Wanted!

First, Merry Christmas to you all, dear readers!

Second, we plan to do many more medical simulations in Second Life at the Ann Myers Medical Center. If you are a doctor, a nurse or a healthcare worker interested in virtual education and would like to give a slideshow about your field of interest, please send me an e-mail (berci.mesko at gmail.com).

  1. Not sure if you have already contacted NanoDave about being a presenter, he does a lot of UK NHS health sim work in Second Life

Berci – I would love to try one of these ‘encounters’…do they do work on team based care and collaboration in Second Life with students? Syndicom runs an online collaboration platform for its surgeon communities, but I was wondering if this is the next move for those kinds of communities…. your thoughts?? How do students find working in Second Life? My own had diverse responses to it…..

  3. Melanie, thank you for the comment. I don’t know how I could miss his Twitter profile. Now I contacted him about a possible presentation.

Kirsten, students seem to be quite active during these brainstormings, case presentations. They like the concept to have some kind of a physical presence in Second Life and to share any kind of media content. I could show you around once when you have time.
