I just published a summary about the last week of my “Medicine and Web 2.0” university credit course. This time I focused on how virtual worlds can be used in medicine and healthcare.

I also have a detailed guide dedicated to this topic on Webicina.

And I have recently had a virtual presentation for a course of the Nova Southeastern University (including audiocast):

Berci,

Thanks again for contributing this lecture for the Consumer Health Informatics and Web 2.0 in Healthcare course at Nova Southeastern University, College of Medicine – Biomedical Informatics Program. It really opened the eyes of our students about some of the possibilities with virtual worlds and they definitely enjoyed it. If I can arrange it, I will invite you again for next semester when the course is offered at the NSU College of Pharmacy.

I went to the video of medicine in second life, the virtual world. It’s quiet interesting. It gives a lots of idea and thanks for sharing such wonderful information.

Berci – this is very much of interest. I’m currently exploring Web 2.0 technologies in medical communications, with a specific emphasis on the use of virtual worlds among people with disabilities. Would love to get with you and collect our thinking on this.

All the best,
-ks
