Augmented Reality for Twitter December 3, 2009

I’ve recently written about the connection between automated external defibrillators and augmented reality. That application was based on Layar:

Now we can locate Twitter friends in our mobile phones:

Where is the medical potential in that? You can locate your friends who have the same medical condition and happen to be around you or you can locate doctors in the hospital you scheduled an appointment with.

Any other ideas?

Quite agree with you. There are a few startup in augmented reality, but just like any traditional innovations, they won’t provide the vertical application within years. Although I have no idea how long it will take to make augmented reality helpful in medical industry, I am sure such innovation would finally make the medicine 2.0 easy to use. Am I too pessimistic?
