From MedCrowd to VoxMed: New Communities
I’ve been maintaining a list of biomedical community sites for years now and the number is well above 60! Here are the newest additions:
MedCrowd: Market Research and Insight: Solve problems by collaborating directly with diverse healthcare experts
VoxMed: VoxMed is the worldwide online community reserved for the medical profession.
Sequilab: a leap forward for genetic researchers using online bioinformatics tools.

Thanks @Berci for pointing to two companies that were featured at Doctors 2.0 & You, which we know you loved! VoxMed was a member of the communities’ panel and MedCrowd one of the start-ups. MedCrowd looks like a community but it is actually a functionality that can be added to any community, according to the founders. Cheers!
Thanks Denise!
We definitely consider medCrowd as a problem-solving tool and not a community. medCrowd enables people working in healthcare to solve problems quickly and easily rather than being a community where groups hangout and chat.
It is also worth mentioning that medCrowd is for everyone working in healthcare, including healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations and the healthcare industry. We believe that diverse expertise is needed to solve many healthcare problems faced today.
Please find us on Twitter @medCrowd or email contact@medCrowd.com for more information. We’d love to hear from you.
